Coalition Building

One of the cornerstones of Yuri Kochiyama’s philosophy on radical activism was the importance of coalition building across causes and communities. Through her experiences, Kochiyama knew that the best strategy in fighting against oppression was to join together to create and fight towards a shared vision of a more equitable society. She believed creating deep connections between movements and drawing on shared humanity was critical to creating change.
