Stories

The Abeng Minority Culture Lounge holds a special place in the Multicultural Lounge Program as the first to be established in 1971. Just like its name, the Abeng Minority Culture Lounge serves as a call to action for the next generation of student leaders and activists to make their voices heard. In the Abeng Minority Culture Lounge, we recognize the struggle and resilience of Black and African American people throughout their history in the United States, while sharing parallel stories of Black joy and excellence through music, artwork, and memory.
